I have not posted any updateds for several months. At this time I am currently building a D-2 Midget to race with IMRA and Powri in IL but will also be visiting other tracks as time and opportunity allow us. Below is the current status of the new midget. We have built or own motor, done all the vinyl added some new bars for a new upright radiator. Its been a bigger than expected project with many set backs. A realistic time table on getting the new car on the track is sometime in June.

We raced at Central Missouri Speedway on Sunday May 29th with the All Star Midget Association. The car was a little tight off of four but other than that is seem to handle OK. We had switched to a back up fuel pump while working on the car which seem to have some issues. I was never able to get enough fuel to it despite richening it up. So rather than hurt the motor we just pulled off after two laps of the feature. The non winged D-2 midget are a little different on driving style and handling. It will take some time but think we will be competitive in a short amount of time. We plan on making the first four nights of the Poweri Speedweeks starting at Belle-Clair speedway in Belleville IL. Then the next night at Quincy IL and Jacksonville IL after that.

We had a rough start to the year. We caught a rut going into turn one at Valley Speedway and flipped. This took out most of the bolt on parts on the car but we have since repaired it. It was great to see full a fields of cars with the All Star Midgets race which have been averaging 20.  Poweri and USAC events have been averaging 20 plus cars an event.  The D2 non winged series appear to be very strong and growing stronger. We hoped to get out this weekend but due to parts being delayed I dont feel this is possible. Looking forward to getting back to racing very soon with the D2 class.

Poweri D-2 midget schedule has been released and it is a very exciting one. First event of the year is a test and tune at Belle Clair Speedway in IL on March 12th. Recent News

As racing schedules begin to be posted we are currently working out our schedule. With the creation of the Poweri D-2 midget class for the first time in several years we plan on racing at select non winged events. The Midwest sanctioned Poweri D-2 group will be racing primarily in central Illinois. With large car count expected and multi day events this should be one of the biggest series this year. Another group to keep an eye on is the newly formed Central Illinois Mini Sprints which was formerly known as ILSS. This group appears to be a all winged 1000cc group who will also be racing as the name says in central Illinois. There are several big annual events we also plan to attend that are winged. So this season will present its challenges to convert the car over from winged to non winged on weekly basis. Stay tuned for a full schedule by the first of Feb.
